Why didnt he get arrested? I'm in CA?
called the cops on my ex who came to pick up the kids. He shows up at random times, expecting me to give up the children whenever he comes to pick them up. I've adjusted my schedule for him, especially now that he has to work and so we've had a verbal agreement, different from the court order.
He's 2 hours early and the children are napping. I told him to come back at his scheduled time. He gets upset and rings the doorbell in succession, about three times, again. He's not waiting. I told him again, please come back. I'll have the children up and ready by that time. He starts shouting obscenities and then he kicks the outer screen door. He makes a pass for my car and kicks in the front of it. Then he takes off.
He left footprints on the door & busted my license plate cover. I called the cops and the officer didnt come until an hour later. He wouldn't even run his license. He said my ex didn't actually damage anything, and he has no priors so he can't arrest him.
Is this true?
the cops do not want to get involved with bickering ex spouses, and custody problems. I have had my fair share, and the cops told me "that is what courts are for"
