Is this heater safe for my tank?
Hi everyone
I have a 1.5 gallon tank for my betta and just purchased a heater. It is a mini heater intended for 5-10 gallon tanks, and is 17.5 watts. I realize this is more than I need, and I know I will have to monitor the temperature. Is it safe to do this, or should I just purchase another heater with a thermostat? I am worried that if I am unplugging/plugging in the heater the temperature fluctuations will end up causing more harm than a cooler tank.

there is NO heater for a tank that small. the smallest heater is for 2.5gallons.
please upgrade to at least 2.5gallons.
