What is the best underlayment for 3/4" solid oak hardwood flooring?
There will be living area below so noise from people walking above should be reduced as much as possible. I've seen people using 15 or 30 lbs roofing paper. What other underlayments such as 1/8" foam etc are a better suited for noise reduction?
