estimated cost to install unfinished hardwood floors per sq. ft.?
Can someone give me a rough estimate per square foot on what it cost to install and finish a hard wood floor. The cost should include wood products and labor. The flooring product will be 3/8" Bruce Red Oak Unfinished Hardwood. This will only include install of the floor, I will replace wash boards...etc. The current floor has a good sub floor. Thanks in advance.
Your looking at 7/9 $ a s/f for material, labor and the finishing. Labor in any area may be higher or lower, but this is just an average..
This usually includes a minimum or two coats of urethane. Any extra items such as floor prep , rip up /haul away is not included. You wanted the base price.

Unfinished Furniture for DIY Enthusiasts
If one were to talk about some of the most coveted and high prized kinds of furniture, the term Amish Oak Furniture is bound to crop up. The Amish furniture making tradition is legendary for its high quality and durability. In order to do your own staining, you can experiment with different colors to first achieve the desired shade and then use those proportions to mix up enough of the stain so that all of the furniture that you want to complete can be done. Because remember it is possible that you may not be able to get the exact correct proportions to reproduce the exact same hue the next time so make as much as you are likely to require.
